Permit Renewal Information

A permit for a registered alarm system is valid from October 1st through the following September 30th.
For this document, this time span will be known as the permit year
Important Information
City of Miami Ordinance 3-23 (c) states:

“All alarm user permits will expire on September 30 of each year and must be renewed not later than October 1 of renewal year. Renewal permits will be issued after completion of an application form and the payment of a $79.00 renewal fee or a $26.50 renewal fee provided there have been no false alarms.”

An alarm system registered with the Alarm Ordinance Unit must have its permit renewed by the end of the permit year. After successfully renewing your alarm system, a new decal will be issued to you by the Alarm Ordinance Unit.
